The Weekend
The Two-Day Reset
by Dean Marlowe
The best weekends are small, near and soon. A drive, a good inn or a cabin, one long dinner and a slow morning with nobody needing anything. You do not have to cross a country to feel like a calmer man for forty-eight hours.
Pack a single bag, leave early, and refuse to earn the rest first. The two-day reset is not a reward for finishing everything — it is the thing that lets you finish anything at all.
